Max Dowling is a music producer, audio mixing engineer and mastering engineer based in London. The breadth of Max’s work spans countless genres, from dance and electronic, to jazz, funk/soul, experimental and virtually everything in between. Releases he has produced, engineered or composed now culminate in many 10s of millions of streams, and his work has seen him nominated for multiple ARIA awards in Australia, where he originates from.
A saxophonist by first trade, Max’s unique musical pathway has combined with an incessant investigation of his craft, resulting in his ability to create music that is simultaneously authentic and nuanced.
He is active across a wide array of musical outlets; from producing, mixing and mastering a broad range of popular and alternative music acts, performing internationally, collaborating within the contemporary dance discipline, as well as creating and engineering eclectic music with his projects TOTEK, Yelderbert and Tetrahedra.
Max obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Contemporary Music (Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation) from the Victorian College of the Arts (2014), and a Bachelor of Music - Honours (Interactive Composition) from the University of Melbourne (2021).
Some of Max’s career highlights include multiple ARIA nominations as a producer, engineer and performer (Client Liaison, Parvyn), prime-time performances at many of Australia and the UK’s largest music festivals, widespread airplay and acclaim for much of the music he has created and worked on, and artist endorsements from Yamaha and Audeze.
